Catalyst4, Inc. bought 1,000,000 shares of MapLight Therapeutics, Inc. ($MPLT) at $13.00 per share on July 30, 2026, a $13 million transaction that raised its ownership to 20,906,689 shares, a Form 4 filing with the SEC showed.
The purchase capped a three-day buying campaign. On July 28, Catalyst4 acquired 141,088 shares at an average price of $10.74 and another 65,137 shares at $11.69, together worth roughly $2.28 million. It picked up 3,000 more shares on July 29 at $12.63. Over the three sessions, the entity accumulated 1,209,225 shares at prices ranging from $10.74 to $13.00, for a total outlay of approximately $15.3 million. All four trades were reported on a single Form 4 filed July 30.
Catalyst4 had previously disclosed a much larger purchase: 5,441,176 shares of $MPLT at $17.00 per share on October 28, 2025, valued at about $92.5 million.
The July buying followed a wave of insider sales. In May 2026, Chief Executive Officer Christopher A. Kroeger and General Counsel Kristopher Hanson sold shares at prices between $27.19 and $30.56. That same month, Chief Financial Officer Vishwas Setia, Chief Medical Officer Erin Pennock Foff, and Chief Scientific Officer James Woodruff Lillie also sold, at prices from $27.36 to $30.12. Overall, open-market sales by MapLight insiders in May fetched between $27.19 and $30.56 per share.
The May sales came on the heels of April dispositions by an even larger group. Kroeger, Hanson, Foff, Lillie, Setia, Chief Discovery Officer Anatol Kreitzer, Jonathan Gillis (then listed as CAAO and PAO), and Director Robert C. Malenka all sold shares that month, at prices ranging from $26.61 to $30.83.
In mid-July 2026, CFO Gillis and Chief Discovery Officer Kreitzer reported additional open-market sales at prices between $36.13 and $38.39. Those transactions were disclosed in a Form 4 filed on July 20, eight days before Catalyst4 began its July 28 buying.
