Aura Minerals COO Luvizotto Glauber Rosa sold 50,000 shares of Aura Minerals Inc. ($AUGO) at $75.02 apiece on August 10, 2026, a $3,751,000 open-market transaction. The sale was reported to the Securities and Exchange Commission the next day, on August 11. After the trade, Rosa held 290,628 shares of $AUGO.
The August sale dwarfed an earlier sale by the same executive. On June 22, Rosa sold 6,323 shares at $65.22 per share, netting $412,386. At that time, he owned 434,305 shares. The August disposal was roughly nine times larger by dollar value and nearly eight times larger by share count.
Between those two transactions, Rosa's stated holdings fell by 143,677 shares. That exceeds the 56,323 shares he sold across both sales, suggesting non-open-market events—equity vesting, option exercises, or tax withholding—occurred in the interim.
The COO's trading followed a wave of insider selling in May. CEO Rodrigo Cardoso Barbosa sold 60,000 shares on May 11 at $81.43 each ($4,885,800) and another 55,000 on May 12 at $82.63 ($4,544,650). Director Mauad Bruno Sousa sold 38,384 shares on May 12 at $83.95 ($3,222,337), and an additional 9,652 shares on May 27 at $75.62 ($729,884). Earlier, in March, the CEO had sold 15,000 shares across two transactions priced between $61.75 and $65.82.
Sousa made a small purchase on June 3, buying 2,800 shares at $64.95 each, a $181,860 outlay.
Aura Minerals, a mining company with a market cap near $6.21 billion, closed at $76.25 on August 10, near the day's high. The stock opened at $74.44, peaked at $76.32, and touched $72.50. The prior close on August 7 was $74.13.
Rosa's August sale price was roughly 15% above the $65.22 he received in June. $AUGO shares slipped from $72.30 on June 1 to $60.50 by July 1, a 16% drop, before rallying 26% to $76.25 by the August trade date.
